It makes heads turn when we arrange for a selection of your taxis to drive round London in tandem, just picture the sight. The social media attention this creates enhances any campaign's effectiveness, and can really stretch the return on your marketing investment.
Want to impress a key client? Why not have them collected at the airport or station in one of their branded taxis.
Use your branded taxi as part of a wider social media campaign. Everyone's a budding photographer these days. Create a 'snap and share' competition where the best selfie taken with your taxi wins a prize, or use social media to run a competition. This is a great opportunity to be creative and have some fun.
Really want to make an impression around your launch? Collect your clients and VIPs and bring them to the party in one of your branded taxis. By dominating the venue area, you'll create a real brand presence and lots of photo opportunities. Then take your guests home at the end of the night and they'll love you even more.
Place your taxi inside an exhibition centre, where it can be used for fabulous photo opportunities, as well as a private meeting room.
The latest novel by Harper Collins' author Kimberly Chambers is set throughout East London and Essex. Rather than try to arrange book signings in dozens of venues across that wide area, to launch the book we created 'The Wronged' taxi, and Kimberly travelled around to signings for three days running!
Every opportunity was harnessed so an add-on competition was developed where the best selfie with the taxi won a signed book and dinner for two...not in the taxi we might add. The impact was massive, with Kimberly Chambers fans in particular creating a real buzz about this very different launch initiative. We hope they'll do the same for her next book!
Birchbox seeks visibility in and around London Fashion Week. As a key part of this objective they book multi coloured taxi wraps. Apart from looking spectacular, Birchbox will use their taxis to collect journalists and take them to London Fashion Week events. They will also use the taxis around consumer events, and distribute product samples for passengers, within the taxi. Social media of course plays an integral part in spreading the word.
In the heart of Covent Garden, Melissa Shoes opened their flagship store. Taxis formed part of their marketing campaign. The great design provided fabulous visibility across Central London, but in terms of PR Melissa Shoes really went to town. Their campaign consisted of the following:
For the traditional season opener, each London rugby club (Wasps, Harlequins, London Irish and Saracens) had their own dedicated branded taxi, which they used in a variety of ways, as follows:
As one of the main sponsors of the 2014 Lord Mayors Show Parade, Thames Tideway or Super Sewer! placed a fully branded taxi in the parade. It made for great publicity on the day.
Perhaps not such a big name in London, the Bollywood movie star Salman Khan arrived in London in style. To promote his new movie, what better way to arrive at your hotel than in your very own branded taxi.
Nothing illustrates the versatility of taxis more than this campaign. In endeavouring to do something a little different, the client asked us if it was possible to place taxis inside EXCEL. After making a couple of enquiries we were able to find drivers happy to have their taxis to be placed at the event for three days, during which time the taxis were frequently photographed and were also used for meetings. Fortunately the drivers switched their meter off!
