When London clothier N.Peal was looking for marketing opportunities to promote its new cashmere collaboration with the James Bond 007 franchise, the solution seemed simple. A fleet of Aston Martin DB6s, each with a full advertising wrap, promoting the range and driving through the City and West End.
Sadly, a number of practical constraints quickly presented themselves. Not least of which, a shortage of owners willing to lend their prize possessions in support of such an endeavour!
N.Peal brought its 007 collection to the market in October, in celebration of 50 years’ of Bond films. The clothier supplied outfits to Daniel Craig for Skyfall in 2012 and Spectre in 2015.
The marketing and communication solution lay with another iconic British brand, the Black London Cab. In this case the agent was not so secret, but no less suave (!) as Keith Levy arranged the campaign and the photoshoot for the taxis outside N.Peal shops in Burlington Arcade, Knightsbridge, Piccadilly and Covent Garden.
The newest James Bond film, No Time to Die is scheduled for release in April 2020.
